Cairo Airport passes US National Transportation Safety Board inspection

Cairo Airport passed the inspection test conducted by the US National Transportation Safety Board on Thursday through two experts from the Board.

Two experts inspected the security procedures followed for passengers, especially passengers on flights to the US, and those followed for packages shipped from the Village of Goods at the airport.

The inspection is a standard procedure implemented by the Board from time to time.

The US delegation praised the security measures applied by the airport, especially on the passengers and bags on EgyptAir flights heading to JF Kennedy Airport in New York, airport sources said.

The inspection lasted for two days, during which the delegation inspected the security procedures applied to secure passengers on EgyptAir flight number 985, which departs every morning from Cairo Airport to New York, the sources added.
