Egyptian fans travel to Liverpool to support Mo Salah against Rome

Dozens of Egyptian fans will travel to England in order to see the first leg of Liverpool’s Champions League semi-final against Roma on April 24 after each paying £1200 (LE30,000) for a ticket.

Mayor of Gharbia governorate’s Ngregg village Maher Shetay said that numerous fans decided to pay around LE30,000 for the ticket, as well as the price of the flight tickets and accommodation expenses, to give support to Egypt striker Mohamed Salah.

Egyptian fans will go everywhere to see Salah, Shetay asserted, adding that hundreds of Egyptian fans failed to buy tickets after they sold out.

Liverpool club’s Sales Department told al-Masry al-Youm newspaper that all tickets, including VIP tickets, were sold.

Meanwhile, a tourist operator, which is Liverpool’s accredited sport partner, also asserted that the tickets were all purchased.

Salah’s father Salah Ghali said that he wishes victory for Liverpool and Salah to win the Champions League.
