Four workers referred to trial for attempted call to strike

Counselor Rasheda Fatth Allah, president of Administrative Prosecution Authority, referred two drivers, an accident representative and a worker at the Public Transport Authority in Cairo, to urgent trial.

Investigations by the Administrative Prosecution proved that the defendants attempted to organize a work strike, at the beginning of the school year, through statements to a newspaper in August 2014.

According to the investigations, the two drivers, who were members at the Public Transport Authority’s General Union of Workers, were not authorized to speak with media outlets on behalf of the Union, as they had been dismissed in August 2014 for committing violations.
