Govt report: Number of foreigners working in private, investment sectors down by 8.3%

The number of foreign nationals working in Egypt’s private and investment sectors fell down by 8.3 percent in 2014, the government said in a report on Wednesday.
 
The total number of foreigners working at both sectors stood at 13,486, down from 14,699 in 2013, according to the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS).
 
Out of those, 30.5 percent are Arab nationals, with Eruopeans making up 30.3 percent.
 
“Palestine came first in terms of the number of foreigners working in private and investment sectors, reaching 2,463 (18.3%), followed by Bangladesh – 1,226 foreigners (9.1%), India – 1,069 foreigners (7.9%), United Kingdom – 772 foreigners (5.7%), read the report.
