LE9.3 billion allocated to developing education

The Planning, Monitoring and Administrative Reform Ministry announced it will allocate approximately LE4.1 billion to develop pre-university education and LE5.2 billion to develop university education, for a total of LE9.3 billion for the current 2015-2016 fiscal year .
 
The ministry allocated LE2.6 billion to establish educational facilities in various stages, starting from kindergarten to secondary education.
 
Another LE449.8 million has been allocated to develop basic education schools, while LE270 million will be used for the development of secondary schools.
 
Literacy programs for elders will receive LE100 million, while LE73.2 million will be allocated to develp different education departments in governorates.
 
The plan includes the development of 550 educational facilities, which will involve the building of a fire warning system. Developing the technological capabilities for primary, preparatory and secondary schools is also a priority.
 
According to the ministry's report, another LE1.4 billion has been allocated for vocational education.
