Milder weather expected for Thursday

A significant decline in temperatures is expected to prevail on Thursday in the north, according to meteorologists. Highs of 33 degrees centigrade will be reached in Cairo and 26 degrees in Alexandria.

Mild weather will prevail on northern coasts, to be hotter on the Delta and Cairo. Low- and medium-level clouds will be seen in the north. Moderate northwesterly winds will blow on several parts, as well as over the Red Sea and Suez Gulf, which will disturb maritime navigation.

The height of Mediterranean waves will reach between one to 1.5 meters, while the height of Red Sea waves will reach between 2.5 to three meters. Northwesterly winds will blow on both seas.

Extremely hot weather will prevail in Upper Egypt during the daytime. Highs of 42 degrees will be reached in Qena and Luxor and 44 degrees in Aswan.
