Egypt to build its first pharmaceutical factory in Upper Egypt

The Governor of Minya, Essam al-Bedawi, laid the primary foundation stone for the “Brand Pharma factory” pharmaceutical industries in the industrial zone of Minya. The factory was constructed on 8000 m2 with cost that totaled LE 150 million.

Bedawi stressed that the factory will add value to Upper Egypt by providing labor opportunities for young pharmacists and supporting drug manufacturing and medical solutions.

Chairman of “Brand Pharma factory”, Maikel Sami, formerly stated that the factory will offer 120 jobs in the pharmacy, administration and technical supervision fields and meet the increasing demands for medicines and medial solutions.

Sami added that the factory will be constructed in two stages. The project managers will prepare equipment and form a team of pharmacists and administrators during the first year of the project. The actual production will commence in the second stage.
