Missing sailboat found off Damietta coast: source

A source from the Port Said seaport said Sunday that the Hureyyet al-Bahr boat, which sank on Sunday, was found 12 miles away off the Damietta coast by boats from the Port Said marine base.

Speaking on condition of anonymity, the source said the boat partially sank; the cabin is still above surface of the water. Efforts are being made to search for the missing sailors, the source added.

The Suez Canal Authority’s movements department denied receiving any notifications about any boat sinking or colliding with trade ships off the Port Said coast.
