Moderate temperatures over Egypt’s northern parts: EMA

The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) expects moderately hot temperatures to prevail on Saturday across the north coast, Cairo, Lower Egypt and the northern parts of Upper Egypt and hot temperatures in southern parts of Upper Egypt.

Maximum temperatures predicted for the following cities are as follows; 30C in Cairo and 28C in Alexandria, 35C in Qena, 36C in Luxor, and 37C in Aswan.

Low and medium clouds are anticipated at the North Coast, accompanied by light rain drops with mist affecting visibility in the morning over the country’s northern parts.

Winds are expected to be mostly northwesterly and moderate in strength, active in South Sinai as well as Gulf of Suez and the Red Sea, disrupting maritime navigation there.

Waves in the Mediterranean Sea will be moderate and range between 1.5 to 2 meters in height, with rougher waves in the Red Sea ranging from between 2 to 2.5 meters. Surface winds will be northwesterly in both seas.
