Nabil Sadek was sworn in as prosecutor general on Saturday morning before President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi. He was appointed 53 days after his predecessor, Barakat, was assassinated.
Sadek graduated in 1978 and then worked for the Public Prosecutor's Office. He later moved to the Court of Appeal and then to the Court of Cassation, where he became deputy president.
