Brotherhood praises police for the way they dealt with Wednesday’s protests

The Muslim Brotherhood has praised the way the police dealt with Wednesday’s protests by the National Alliance to Support Legitimacy outside the cabinet building and the US, Italian, and British embassies.

This is the first time the group has praised the Interior Ministry’s dealing with the demonstrations since the ouster of President Mohamed Morsy.

“They behaved well,” said Brotherhood spokesperson Ahmed Arif. “They did not disperse the marches that denounced a government formed by an illegitimate president.”

“The marches went on to join the protests in Nahda Square,” he said.
