Four arrested in Matrouh on arms smuggling charges

Four suspects were arrested in Matrouh Governorate on Thursday on charges of smuggling weapons and ammunition in a vehicle without a license plate.

Security forces discovered two cannons, 2,084 anti-aircraft shots, 15 RPT and 12 bombs in the vehicle. The defendants were apprehended south of Dabaa City, and were believed to have been headed to Sinai.

A report has been filed at the local police station to begin investigations.
