Morsy mulls arrangements for referendum

President Mohamed Morsy met on Tuesday with Prime Minister Hesham Qandil, Vice President Mahmoud Mekky, Defense Minister Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, Foreign Minister Mohamed Kamel Amr and Justice Minister Ahmed Mekky to mull arrangements for the public referendum on constitution, slated for 15 December.

Parliamentary Affairs Minister Mohamed Mahsoub, Interior Minister Major General Ahmed Gamal Eddin, Information Minister Salah Abdel Maqsoud and Secretary General of the High Elections Commission Taha Shahin were also among the attendees.

Presidential Spokesperson Yasser Ali said the meeting “comes within the president’s intention that the referendum process goes smoothly inside and outside Egypt, so citizens can cast their ballots freely.”
