A Free Syrian Army soldier stands at the Bab al-Salam border crossing to Turkey on 22 July 2012. Anatolia reported that rebel fighters took Salam on 22 July after hours of fighting during the night, and that the sounds of the battle could be heard from the Turkish side of the border.
