Dozens of workers at the Minya branch of the Nile Ginning Company staged a sit-in in front of the Cabinet on 9 October to call for the payment of their overdue salaries. They say they have not been paid their full salaries since November 2011. The workers accused the owner of the company of intentionally withholding a portion of their pay.
