Scores of environmentalists, activists, and general bystanders united
together last Saturday at various different locations around Cairo and Alexandria
to join in on a seed bombing campaign, known as Bozoor Balady.
Seeds bombing is considered a political act of 'guerilla gardening' where
small, tightly compacted balls of clay, fertilizer and seeds are thrown into public
spaces and parks in order to create awareness about a particular agricultural
cause, establish dialogue, and reclaim and beautify public spaces in process.
