St. Anthony monastery reopened

The Supreme Council of Antiquities has recently reopened St. Anthony monastery located in Zaafarana, Red Sea, after completion of renovation works at EGP 80 m cost. The monastery is celebrated for holding oldest Coptic artifacts. Dr. Zahi Hawass, Secretary General of Supreme Council of Antiquities, has made clear in his statement the renovation proves Coptic antiquities are considered Egyptian at the first place.
