Activist Wael Ghonim, creator of Facebook’s We Are All Khaled Said (widely seen as main spark for Egypt’s uprising started January 25, aka Day of Anger), says protesters never meant – originally – President Hosni Mubarak to step down. However, continues Ghonim, when people took to streets they just did not believe how everything was playing out – hence raising bar. Ghonim stresses Tahrir Square protesters have one clear demand which must be met. Ghonim expresses his willingness to sit with representatives from all political forces in Tahrir Square to consolidate demands. Counterintuitive, according to Ghonim, is parties – unable to rally people in even a basketball court – jump in and negotiate in people’s name.
