As part of Egypt's North Coast development plan, Executive Secretariat for Mine Clearance and the Development of North West Coast celebrates conclusion of phase one in mine clearing project in area. So far, 31,250 feddans have been cleared in Alamein, Western Desert. Mines, a leftover of WWII warring parties, is one major hurdle to development in Egypt's Western Desert.
