The wife of Egyptian lawyer and human rights activist Ahmed al-Gizawy, who was arrested in Saudi Arabia, protested outside the Saudi Embassy in Giza along with three others on Wednesday, 30 May, to demand the release of her husband. Shahenda al-Gizawy said her husband’s case has been ignored due to the public’s preoccupation with the presidential election. She demanded the Egyptian Embassy in Saudi Arabia provide him with a lawyer to represent him in court, alleging that each lawyer assigned to him thus far has pushed for a confession.
