Former presidential candidates Hamdeen Sabbahi, Abdel Moneim Abouel Fotouh and Khaled Ali appeared in Tahrir Square on Monday evening, 4 June. The three candidates said they would refuse what they described as the election “game” unless the Political Isolation Law is applied, prohibiting figures from the former Mubarak regime from running for president.
