Dozens of law graduates staged a sit-it outside the Presidential Palace in Heliopolis in protest against what they allege is nepotism. They claim the relatives of judicial officials and of Freedom and Justice Party members have received appointments within the Public Prosecution.

Dozens of Tora Cement pensioners also joined the sit-in to demand the retirement benefits they say they are owed. Meanwhile, Pirelli Tire Company employees continued to demonstrate for the second consecutive day Wednesday against what they call arbitrary company policies as well as the company's failure to pay their salaries.
