Red Sea governor suspends company for disturbing dolphins

The Governor of the Red Sea Major General Ahmed Abdallah has taken legal action against the owner of a company for disturbing and chasing dolphins in the Red Sea area. 
 
The activity of the company, which organizes cruises and diving, has been suspended for a month. The company will be allowed to operate again only after a written pledge not to violate the Environment and Protected Areas Act or disturb dolphins again.
 
Mohamed Abdel Ghany, a researcher on the environment of the Red Sea, said violations by the company led to to the disturbance of dolphins, and a number of them have migrated to other regions.
