Security and traffic in Hurghada prepared for Amr Diab concert

The security services and the Red Sea Traffic Department in Hurghada have devised security plans for the concert of Amr Diab on Saturday evening. A large private parking lot has been reserved for those wishing to attend the event, and some roads and streets near the concert area are closed.

The Traffic Department said on its Facebook page that the street of Old Tourist Sheraton will be closed at the Sheraton Hotel, along with Mubarak 2 Street and al-Hadaba Road at Zubarjed Mall all the way up to al-Mohammadi Huwaidq Square.

The Traffic Department requested citizens heading to Hurghada Promenade (al-Mamasha) to take the Hurghada Airport- al-Kawthar Road (Mubarak 2), from Masri Hospital (Esplanada Square).

The company organizing the concert said this is the first time Amr Diab has performed a concert in Hurghada. Ticket prices for the show will be between LE500 for the standard, and LE1500 for VIP class.

The tourist resort hosting the concert intensified advertising for the concert in the streets of Hurghada and malls.

Not everyone is excited about the upcoming show. Some citizens in the city expressed their resentment over the inconvenient closure of the streets leading to the Hurghada Promenade.
