Tamarod calls for real time coverage of Morsy trial

The Tamarod movement called for broadcasting the trial of ousted President Mohamed Morsy, which begins on 4 November, on television to ensure the transparency and fairness of the trial, Turkish Anadolu News Agency reported.

Mohamed Abdel Aziz, one of the founders of the movement, said on Saturday that Egyptians have the right to follow the trial in real time on television.

The Cairo Appeals Court had set 4 November as the date for the first session of the trial of Morsy and 14 Brotherhood leaders and activists, including former administration officials.

The defendants face charges of killing protesters at Ettehadiya Palace last year.
