In response to demands of protesters, PM Essam Sharaf promised Egyptians on state TV immediate police reassignments after protests broke out again all over Egypt against release on bail of police officers charged with killing protesters during January 25th Revolution which led to president Mubarak's ouster. Reassignments include 505 generals and ending service of 82 Colonels and 82 Brigadier Generals.

Clashes were blamed on some of the martyrs' families who protested for being neglected during a celebration held in the Balloon Theatre to honor the martyrs. Most of the demostrating families have been protesting for few days before the Radio and TV building (Maspero) Calling for bringing deposed President Mubarak for trial for killing protesters. Protesters clashed with security forces after one of the martyrs'mother was rumored to have been detained inside the Interior Ministry. Protesters called for releasing her while security officials confirmed that no one was detained inside the ministry.
