A child infected with conjunctivitis (Pink Eye), Dakahlia, 25 October, 2010. After first appearing in Dakahlia Governorate, the viral infection spread to Port Said and Damietta Governorates raising the number of infected cases to 1368 according to a Ministry of Health statement. Ministry of Health spokesman Abdel-Rahman Shahin said patients in all units and primary health care centers in Dakahlia, Port Said and Damietta hospitals are being examined to control the disease from spreading to other governorates.
