Zahran accused NDP MB's of being double-standard in handling cases similar to Al Salaab's (NDP MB and businessman) and Abdel Azim Wazir's (Governor of Cairo). أحد نواب الحزب الوطني الديموقراطي يعتدي على النائب المستقل د. «جمال زهران»، أثناء اجتماع لجنة الإدارة المحلية ، ١٧ فبراير ٢٠١٠. كان «زهران» قد وصف نواب «الوطني» بالازدواجية في التعامل في قضايا متشابهة، وهو ما أثار غضب نواب الوطني و حاولوا الإعتداء عليه، في إطار مناقشة لجنة الإدارة الخلاف بين د. «عبد العظيم وزير»، محافظ القاهرة، و النائب «مصطفى السلاب»، بسبب قرارات الإزالة الصادرة ضد إقامة مبان خاصة بمجموعة السلاب.
