Temperature to drop and rains expected for Lower Egypt on Friday

 

The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) anticipates weather temperatures to drop on Friday. Mild temperatures are expected for the north coast while hot weather will prevail in Lower Egypt, Cairo and northern parts of Upper Egypt during daylight hours.

Meanwhile, the hottest weather is predicted for south of Upper Egypt, while milder temperatures will prevail all over the country by night-time.

Mist will affect visibility in the north during the morning. Low and medium level-cloud cover is expected for the north and accompanied by rainfalls in the northern coast, Lower Egypt, Cairo, North of Upper Egypt and Sinai.

Winds are anticipated to be moderate and mostly northwesterly in direction across South of Upper Egypt.

Meanwhile, winds will be active in Red Sea, disturbing the maritime navigation. Waves in the Mediterranean will be light and range between 1 and 1.5 meters high, while waves in the Red Sea will be moderate and range between 1.5 to 2 meters. Northwesterly surface winds are predicted in both seas.

The maximum temperatures predicted for the following cities are: 37C in Cairo, 28C in Alexandria, 39C in Qena, 41C in Luxor, and 43C in Aswan.
