Tourism Authority depends on charter flights to promote tourism

The Egyptian Tourism Authority depends on charter flights for all tourist cities, especially Luxor and Aswan, which are suffering from low tourism and hotel occupancy rates, said head of the Egyptian Tourism Authority Sami Mahmoud.

Tourism Minister Hesham Zaazou plans to launch a campaign to promote tourism in November under the slogan "This is Egypt" through the London tourism stock market.

The campaign will cost Egypt LE68 million over three years and will use social networking websites alongside the traditional campaigning methods, said Mahmoud.
