Tourism Ministry hosts famous Brazilian actor as he visits Egypt

The Tourism Ministry will host Brazilian actor Sergio Maroni from December 15-20 as part of efforts to promote tourism to Egypt.
 
Marone's visit is being coordinated between the Egyptian Embassy in Brazil, the Egyptian tourism office in New York and the Tourism Ministry.
 
The Tourism Ministry stressed the importance of emphasizing the soft power of sports and art when trying to promote tourism, as they can reach various groups and classes worldwide.
 
The ministry referred to ongoing efforts and plans by the ministry to take advantage of celebrities' visits.
 
Marone will visit the pyramids of Giza, the Egyptian Museum in Cairo, will take a tour in Luxor and visit Sharm el-Sheikh, according to Tourism Ministry spokesperson Rasha al-Azayzy.
 
Marone is one of the most important young TV stars in Brazil, who won fame after he played King Ramses II's in a TV series. He is one of the most popular Brazilian stars on social media as well and has 321,000 followers on Instagram and 456,000 followers on Twitter.
