Two MB members imprisoned in Behira for torture

Damanhur Criminal Court sent two leading Muslim Brotherhood members to prison for charges of torturing three students inside the Behira MB headquarters.

The first defendant, Mostafa, was sent to 10 years in jail, while the second, Mohamed, was sentenced to three years and a LE10,001 fine.

The families of three students had complained to police alleging their sons were tortured during demonstrations that took place on 28 November 2012 against the constitutional declaration that was issued by President Mohamed Morsy.

The students claimed that they were hit by sticks and tortured with electric shocks.
