Watch out, world! India’s box office smash ‘Baahubali’ to hit international market

India’s priciest blockbuster “Baahubali” and its upcoming sequel “Baahubali: The Conclusion” will be made into international versions, according to Variety.

Film editor Vincent Tabaillon, who worked on “Taken 2” and “The Incredible Hulk” will be heading up the edits on the international cut, to be completed at the end of August.

The new version is expected to go in front of sales agents, distributors and film festivals, with hopes for an eventual international release on a wide scale.

The original “Baahubali” was released on July 10 in India with a budget of US$40 million (RM152.36 million), and has since been setting new box office records in India and diaspora markets. Its worldwide box office gross has hit US$33.8 million in five days.
