Security forces in Qalyubiya have arrested 25 people allegedly affiliated with the Muslim Brotherhood, accusing them of possession of 51 explosive devices.
The suspects were arrested at Kolleyet al-Zeraa Metro stop and have been referred for investigations.
Mohamed Nasr, head of Shubra al-Kheima investigations department, said on Sunday that the suspects tried to plant bombs inside the station to blow it up. They also fired at security personnel who were trying to apprehend them, Nasr claimed.
The suspects were also found to be in possession of flyers inciting against the police and army, he added.
