Egypt’s annual core inflation rate declined to 36.4 percent in November 2023 from 38.5 percent in October, according to the the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS) on Sunday.
CAPMAS said in a statement that the overall consumer price index for the whole country reached 191.8 points for November 2023, reflecting an annual inflation rate of 36.4 percent.
The agency attributed the decline to the decrease in price of meat and poultry by 1.5 percent, fruit by 3.5 percent, vegetables by 4.7 percent, transport services by 2.3 percent and hotel services by 0.3 percent.
