Egypt’s traffic authority has said that a government decision to ban the operation of trailer tractors during daytime inside cities goes into effect starting Saturday.
Mostafa Darwish, head of the General Administration of Traffic, said the new procedure does not apply to desert roads and others leading to factories. It also excludes vehicles laden with supply commodities.
Darwish added that the new law seeks to reduce traffic congestion inside cities.
