EgyptAir has advised passengers to check their flights times for the coming days, following Monday's official decision to cancel daylight saving time this summer.
The Cabinet announced on Monday that daylight saving time will not be applied this year, despite initial plans to start daylight saving on July 7.
EgyptAir therefore encouraged passengers travelling this week to check their departure times through the website www.egyptair.com or by calling 1717 from any mobile phone or 090070000 from landlines, to avoid confusion. Alternatively, travel agents will be able to provide the official flight schedule.
The airline also urged passengers to arrive at airports at least four hours before their departure time for international flights, and a minimum of two hours for those taking domestic flights.
In April 2016, the Cabinet issued a resolution to apply daylight saving from July 7 to the end of October. However, last week, parliament voted by a majority to revoke the Cabinet's decision, meaning clocks will not be changed this summer.
