Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry warned that any comprehensive military operations in Gaza will have catastrophic humanitarian repercussions.
He assured that Egypt is doing its part and more for the sake of all Palestinians.
Shoukry’s statements came during his participation in a discussion session on peace and stability in the Middle East on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference, held on Saturday evening.
“We provide all possible support and take all necessary measures to bring aid into Gaza Strip. We stressed to Israel that removing the displaced from Palestine’s Rafah poses a threat to our national security,” he said.
Israel continues to launch hundreds of raids and bombings throughout the Gaza Strip, committing bloody massacres against civilians and displacing over 90 percent of the population.
Israeli occupation aircraft have destroyed entire residential squares in Gaza, as part of the comprehensive destruction policy pursued by the occupation.
Thousands of dead and wounded have yet to be recovered from under the rubble, due to the continued bombing on the Gaza Strip and severe restrictions on the entry of fuel and urgent vital aid.
