Higher Education Minister Ashraf al-Sheehy disclosed that four new state-owned universities will be established in the Sinai, Red Sea and Marsa Matrouh governorates.
In press remarks on the sidelines of his visit to Kafr al-Sheikh University on Thursday, Sheehy said that South Sinai University will be built in al-Tor area, adding that its wall is already built.
The university will offer scientific studies that highlight Sinai's important features, like tourism, hotel management, energy, urban planning, running industrial and tourism establishments and land irrigation in deserts. The university will be built on an area of 150 feddans.
Establishing these universities, according to the minister, aims to create public universities in all provinces.
“Kafr al-Sheikh University is a source of pride for all Egyptian universities,” he said, stressing the government's support for the hospital. He also added that a timeline will be created to finish its hospital.
