Meteorologists are predicting hot, humid weather on Saturday in Cairo, Lower Egypt and the north of Upper Egypt, with top a temperature of 35 degrees centigrade in Cairo.
Moderate weather is expected along the north coast, with highs of 32 degrees in Alexandria.
Upper Egypt should by much hotter, with 40 degrees in Qena, and 41 in Luxor and 42 Aswan.
The maximum temperature in Sharm el-Sheikh will be 40 degrees and in Hurghada 39.
A morning mist could mean low visibility early on along the north coast, in Lower Egypt, the Suez Canal cities and in Cairo. A low to medium level of cloud cover is forecast for the north.
Wind will be mostly moderate and northwesterly. It will be active along the north-west coast and in the Red Sea, possibly disrupting navigation.
Waves on the Mediterranean are expected to average between 1.5 and 2 meters high, while the Red Sea will see waves of between 2 and 2.5 meters, with a northwesterly surface wind.
