Hot weather to ease in the coming days: EMA

The Egyptian Meteorological Authority announced that following the grip of the Indian seasonal monsoon across the country, temperatures will finally begin to ease in the coming days.

The EMA explained that the high of middle latitudes are advancing over the country, bringing with them northwestern winds that work to cool the atmosphere.

It is accompanied by wind activity that will disperse moisture during the evening.

Hot, humid weather prevails in Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt and the northern coasts, growing very hot in South Sinai and the southern parts of the country during the daytime.

The weather will remain hot and humid at night across the country until the beginning of next week.

On Wednesday temperatures in Greater Cairo will reach 36C, 33C in the coastal governorates and 46C in southern Upper Egypt.
