Aisha Abdel Hadi, minister of manpower and immigration, said the Italian government allocated 15 percent of its labor quota to Egyptians.
“Italian companies specialized in importing Egyptian labor will be certified by the Italian Labor, Health and Social Policies ministry by end of this month,” said Abdel Hadi after meeting with the ministry’s delegation in Cairo on Wednesday.
There will be coordination with the Egyptian government regarding labor jobs and selecting candidates, added Abdel Hadi, noting that Egyptian labor in Italy, which has been working there for nine months with seasonal contracts in fields of tourism and agriculture, has the right to renew contracts for another term, in accordance with the new Italian procedures.
