The Future of Homeland Party in Egypt announced it has permanently dismissed MP Mustafa Mohamed Suleiman Hassan, a member of the Senate from the Assiut Governorate, from the party, after he assaulted a woman, Shorouk news website reported.
The party notified the parliament of the decision and requested his referral to the parliament’s values committee to take the necessary action against him.
The party affirmed that “taking these immediate decisions towards the MP comes in light of his perpetration of an incident that represented a breach to Egyptian society norms; unacceptable in any way and under any pretext.”
According to the party, the MP beat a woman and the husband of her daughter, “which is a deviation from proper conduct, societal rules and moral integrity.”
