NDP candidate supporters set party headquarters on fire

Supporters of Salah Abdel Rehim, a National Democratic Party candidate who sought the professionals seat in al-Qouseya, broke into the district's party headquarters, after reports of his failed bid surfaced, and set the building ablaze.

Supporters wielding "white weapons" blocked the main road in the area. They chanted slogans denouncing corruption and fraud within the NDP.

Security forces descended on the area, cordoned off the party headquarters, and arrested many of Abdel Rehim's supporters.
