Security forces in Minya arrested 41 people who allegedly stormed into police stations, churches and public institutions, burning and looting them.
They also confiscated 24 firearms, including seven that were in the possession of fugitives and 17 that were turned in by citizens into police stations.
Security forces are stepping up their efforts to arrest Muslim Brotherhood and Islamists groups leaderships who are wanted by authorities.
