UN fuel trucks reportedly moving at Rafah crossing to enter Gaza Strip

The Al Qahera News Channel reported on Monday that UN fuel trucks have begun moving at the Rafah crossing in preparation for entering into the Gaza Strip.

Reuters also reported earlier that four UN fuel trucks have entered the Rafah crossing heading to Egypt.

Southern Gaza is in tense anticipation amid reports of a temporary ceasefire in the area for the entry of humanitarian aid through the Rafah crossing.

US reports on Monday morning stated that there had been a breakthrough regarding the opening of the Rafah crossing, and that a tripartite agreement had been reached between the US, Egypt, and Israel regarding opening the crossing from nine am to five pm on Monday.

However, the office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued an urgent statement claiming there is no ceasefire in southern Gaza,

Netanyahu denied an agreement regarding the entry of aid through the Rafah crossing in exchange for admitting foreigners into Egypt from the Gaza Strip.
