Various clashes across Egypt leave two dead, 53 injured

Six separate violent clashes that erupted across the country on Thursday – one of which included the exchange of gunfire and Molotov cocktails – cumulatively resulted in the deaths of two people and the injuries of 53 others, security sources said.

In Cairo's Sahel district, a fight between two doctors resulted in one of the doctors being shot in the head and killed.

In the Warak neighborhood in Giza, one person was killed and five others were injured after a fight broke out between neighbors. In a similar incident in Bolaq Dakroor, five people were shot.

In Minya, a fight between tok tok and microbus drivers in a parking lot left nine injured, including three policemen and one child, after the two sides exchanged gunfire and rocks.

In Damietta, security forces in coordination with the military successfully established control over two Kafr Saad villages after fights started between residents. The fights lasted for nearly seven hours, during which gunfire, Molotov cocktails, rocks and empty bottles were thrown.
