EGX30 up1.34% on Monday amid signs of recovery

Egyptian stock exchange reversed its southern direction in Monday’s session with the EGX30 Index gaining 1.34 percent  to record 8,832.28 points on a total turnover of LE636million.

"The significant decline which occurred in yesterday’s session lead the foreign institutions to buy in dips which helped the market to rebound in today’s session", Sigma Securities Brokerage said.

The market showed a sharp decline with a total loss of 21.3 billion on Sunday. Market capitalization gained 6 billion Monday, reaching LE 492.6 billion compared to LE486.6 billion on Sunday.

The foreign institutions closed as net buyers recording a net flow of LE66.43million as opposed to local and Arab institutions that were net sellers recording net flows of LE51.25million and LE8.52million respectively.
