US dollar price has exceeded LE18 at four banks which are: Housing and Development Bank (HDB), Commercial International Bank (CIB), Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) and Ahli Bank of Kuwait (ABK), Al-Borsa newspaper reported.
The exchange rate at HDB reached LE17.8 for buying and LE18.2 for selling.
At ADIB, the purchasing rate reached LE17.7 and selling rate reached LE18.5; whereas at CIB, the purchasing rate reached LE17.75 and the selling rate reached LE18.05.
Meanwhile, the purchasing rate was LE17.8 and the selling rate was LE18.25 at Ahli Bank of Kuwait.
Purchasing and selling rates for the US dollar have witnessed ongoing hikes since the floating of Egyptian pound recently ordered by the Central Bank of Egypt.
The price at the Egyptian national banks Ahly, Banque Misr and Banque du Caire reached LE17.7 for purchasing and LE17.95 for selling.
