The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) has released its weather forecast for Thursday, July 17, indicating a continued surge in temperatures across most regions.
The weather is expected to be extremely hot and humid during the day over most areas, while northern coastal regions will experience hot and humid conditions.
Nights and early mornings will remain warm and humid.
The high humidity levels will intensify the perceived heat, making it feel two-four degrees Celsius hotter than the actual shaded temperature.
There will be a chance of light, occasionally moderate rainfall in scattered areas, including Halayeb, Shalateen, Marsa Alam, and Abu Simbel.
These showers might sometimes be accompanied by thunderstorms and active winds that could stir up sand and dust intermittently.
The EMA forecasts Greater Cairo to reach a high of 39C and a low of 28C on Thursday.
